	2008 Dayton All Wheels Weekend, Dayton, WA. What a beautiful day today! Warmer temperatures but still a bit of a breeze. Although a very nice turnout. I heard that there was around 320+ cars today, pretty nice! My hat goes off to the folks that put this on year in and year out, Betty-Lou, Clark, and others, great job for a fabulous car show, as always!

	2008 Othello 13th Annual Spud Run, Othello, WA. A very pleasant day weather wise, mid 80's, light breeze. Quite a few cars turned out, even with the high gas prices. The folks that put this show on do a good job. This show is also "judged" by knowledgeable guys that walk around in the hot sun and meticulously review each and every car from top to bottom. They do a good job and I like "judges" more than "participant" voting. However, I would really like to understand how they judge a class that spans almost 30 years (1981 and newer for example) and how they compensate for the age of the vehicles. It always seems like the new cars (very late model) always walk away with the awards. It is too bad when a car driven off the show room floor, into a car show will take away an award because the paint on a 1981 vehicle isn't as "shiny" or the car itself show wear because of the age of the vehicle. Just curious how they do it. I suggest that they break the classes down further. Did they not make any cool cars after 1981? Always seems like the folks putting on the car shows think that after 1977 or so, that you can lump all of the cars from then on into one group. Come on, how can you do that?
	2008 Pendleton Show & Shine, Pendleton. OR. It started out a cloudy, the wind was cold and blew all day, but we never got rained on. Not a big turn out this year compared to previous years, probably due to the stupid gas prices.

	2007 Dayton All Wheels Weekend, Dayton, WA. Well today started out pretty dicey. A bit cold, windy somewhat and ominous cloud formations that several times look like rain was imminent. But better weather prevailed. Warmer temperatures but still a bit of a breeze. Although a very nice turnout. I heard that there was around 360 cars today, pretty nice! My hat goes off to the folks that put this on year in and year out, Betty-Lou, Clark, and others, great job for a fabulous car show, as always!

	2007 Pendleton Show & Shine, Pendleton. OR. It started out a little cloudy, with a very light sprinkle once, but then turned into some pretty nice weather, mid 90's and sunny.

	2005 The Great Race, Walla Walla, WA. The 2005 race took place from June 25 - July 9, starting in Washington, DC, and ending in Tacoma, Washington. Drivers and navigators will follow a challenging cross-country route mapped out by John Classen, Great Race Director of Competition, while competing in a time-speed-distance race in vintage cars that are at least 45 years old.

	2004 North Whidbey Lions Car Show, Whidbey Island, WA. I have to say that is a very nice car show, lot's of nice cars. I still do not understand the people's voting. Although some of the cars that won, deserved to win, but there were a lot of cars that should have won, that did not. I have gone to this show 4 years in a row now and have seen basically the same folks win time and time again. Last year I had several people email me because I accused this show of being a "Good ol' Boys" show, and they did not like it. They said that I was stomping my feet just because I didn't win, well that is not the case. I know for a fact that my car should not have won, and it didn't, but I do know that there are cars in stock classes that were no where near to stock, Sonny, you listening? I do not care one way or another if I win or not, that is not what I participate for, but it DOES bother me when it is so blatantly obvious to not only me but about a dozen others at the show, that it IS A GOOD OL' BOYS network car show. Yes, there are a few cars thrown a win so that they can say "see, there are cars from out of town". I am going to write a little note to the Mayor and the city newspaper because this is just not right. Please remember, this is just my observation and opinion, if it is right or wrong, it is my opinion and most importantly, my website. So if you disagree with my opinions and observations, you have that right. Please do not expect a reply to your flame-mail.
